HOUSTON – Two workers died Monday afternoon after an industrial accident involving an electrical line. According to the Houston Fire Department, a construction vehicle hit an electrical line and the two victims who were working nearby got electrocuted. CPR was given to one man who appeared to be in his 20s and the second in his 30s. Both were transported to Southwest Memorial. Investigators said there were many witnesses on the scene. “There were a lot of workers here in the field,” said HFD Capt. Bruce Greenberg. “They were all obviously distraught and doing what they could to help.” The sign on the property read Maverick Drilling and Exploration, but the company did not release a statement. Both men were pronounced dead at the hospital.
